Elisha Rubacha
Elisha Rubacha lives and writes in Peterborough, ON. Her work has been supported by the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Theatre Trent, Public Energy's Alternating Currents program, the Precarious Festival, and EC3's Grants for Individual Artists program funded by the City of Peterborough. She is the founder, editor, and designer of bird, buried press, which has published over 20 chapbooks of poetry and fiction since 2016. Elisha was a finalist for the Outstanding Emerging Artist Award at Peterborough's first Arts Awards, and from 2018 - 2021, she was a member at large of EC3's board of directors. She has been working in non-profit settings for over a decade, including over five years at Nourish (YWCA Peterborough), and has extensive experience in communications, administration, program design, and program coordination.
