Artsweek 2020 Applications: How to Apply for Artsweek Project Funding Workshop
This event has been postponed due to COVID-19. Please watch this space and EC3's social media for updates.
Artsweek 2020 is coming up (details and dates TBA - please watch this space and EC3's social media for updates).
This workshop is a great introduction to understanding any kind of application process and developing a project.
Artsweek 2020 includes an open call, as always, to any and all artists and/or arts organizations in the City of Peterborough to propose projects for the Festival. This year we invite people to respond to the theme of “art in unexpected places,” with proposals of any shape, size, or description, in any discipline. Applications may be from solo artists, arts organizations, or collaborations, co-productions and partnerships between or among different groups, collectives, institutions, etc. Projects that take advantage of both Peterborough’s built and natural heritage assets are welcome, on land, on water, in the downtown, in Jackson Park, on the street, up on a roof - anywhere in the city.
This workshop provides an overview of Artsweek 2020 (including the new “Nuit Blanche” event), offers how-to advice on developing projects and successfully applying for funding, reviews the Artsweek Application Guide (purpose of the program, fees, duties and responsibilities, terms, eligibility and assessment criteria, selection process, etc.) as well as the Application Form (support material, etc.).
EC3 staff, Artsweek producers, and former participants will be on hand to walk you through the program guidelines and the application form and answer questions. A PowerPoint presentation will be available on the EC3 website along with the Guide and the Nomination Forms.
