Mauricio Interiano
Mauricio, originally from Honduras, has been an advocate for community development, research, and outreach since arriving in Peterborough in 2012. Holding a BA in International Development and Sociology from Trent University and a Master’s degree in International Development with a specialization in Migration from the Graduate Institute of Geneva in Switzerland, Mauricio brings a wealth of knowledge and a global perspective to his endeavors.
With a strong background in communications, Mauricio's six-year tenure at Trent Radio showcased his commitment to the local arts community and laid the foundation for his profound connection to Peterborough's cultural landscape. As the founding president of Peterborough Independent Podcasters (PIP) and a member of the education advisory committee for Friends Of Honduran Children, Mauricio consistently champions creativity and community engagement.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mauricio finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, indulging in his love for coffee, cooking, reading, and exploring new places with friends and family. His multifaceted experiences and genuine enthusiasm make him an invaluable contributor to the vibrant cultural tapestry of Peterborough.
