The Peterborough Arts Awards and the Mayor's Luncheon for the Arts is upcoming (postponed, TBA).
This workshop is a great introduction to understanding any kind of similar nomination/application process.
The Peterborough Arts Awards are presented annually at the Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts. This program includes an open call to any local citizens to nominate practicing, professional artists in three categories (Emerging, Mid-Career, and Senior) working in any discipline, as well as an Outstanding Indigenous Artist, Arts Champion, and Arts Catalyst, in the City of Peterborough, for one of six $2,000 awards that recognize their achievements. Please see Peterborough Arts Awards and the Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts on our website for further details on the Peterborough Arts Awards program structure.50
This workshop provides an overview of the 2020 Awards program, offers how-to advice on developing a successful nomination, and reviews the Peterborough Arts Awards Nomination Guide (purpose of the program, prizes, categories, terms, eligibility and assessment criteria, and selection process, etc.) as well as the Nomination Form (support material etc.).
EC3 staff, Artsweek producers, and former participants will be on hand to walk you through the program guidelines and forms and answer questions. A PowerPoint presentation will be available on the EC3 website along with the Peterborough Arts Awards Guide and the Nomination Forms
